Young electronic musicians explore the magnificent Klais organ, using it’s new technological equipment and it’s 5273 pipes to create a musical experience.
When the electronic controls in the Klais organ were updated recently, a midi input was fitted in. This allows an external device, such as a computer, to control every aspect of the organ. The number of notes played and their speed is therefore not restricted to the physical limitations of human performers. This opens up a whole new world of possibilities for composers to work with.
The electronic musicians are Sveinbjorn Thorarensen (Hermigervill), Bergrun Snaebjornsdottir, Kristin Bjork Kristjansdottir (Kira Kira) and Pall Ivan fra Eidum. Program manager is Gudmundur Vignir Karlsson (Kippi Kaninus).
