Hear Heaven’s Maker
At this final Wednesday lunchtime concert of the summer, Hallgrimskirkja’s excellent chamber choir sings Icelandic choir music from two different eras. The first half of the programme consists of a few favourite, modern Icelandic pieces, the latter half of the renowned Miserere by the Italian composer Gregorio Allegri. All the pieces have one thing in common: They suit the acoustics of Hallgrimskirkja perfectly.
The concert takes place on Wednesday August the 19th from 12.00-12.30.
Conductor is Hordur Askelsson, the cantor of Hallgrimskirkja.
