Rehearsals for the Festival of Sacred Arts 2015 have started and Hallgrimskirkja is alive with singing and dancing in preparation for the festival. The Hallgrimskirkja Motet Choir is with great anticipation rehearsing all eight voices of Handel´s magnificent oratorio Solomon, enjoying themselves thoroughly.

The soloists have also started rehearsing with conductor Hordur Askelsson and soon the International Baroque Orchestra will be arriving in Iceland.

Last but not least, our baroque dancers are grooming their wigs for the baroque dance performance at the grand opening of the festival.

Ticket sales are going well and the tickets for all events can be found here and also in Hallgrimskirkja (tlf. 510 1000 – open all days from 9am–5pm and to 9 pm from Monday August 10th).
