Free admittance.<\/p>\n<p>OPENING OF THE FESTIVAL<\/p>\n<p>5 pm Opening of a new arts exhibition by the Icelandic artist Helgi Thorgils Fridjonsson, Baroque group-dancing to music by Handel, The Hague International Baroque Orchestra and the Hallgrimskirkja Motet Choir perform, conductor is Hordur Askelsson. Conductor Hordur Askelsson.<\/p>\n<h3>Monday August 17th 9 pm<\/h3>\n<p>NEW DIMENSIONS OF THE KLAIS ORGAN<\/p>\n<p>Young electronic musicians explore the magnificent Klais organ, using it\u2019s new technological equipment and it\u2019s 5273 pipes to create a musical experience.<\/p>\n<h3>Tuesday August 18th 8 pm<\/h3>\n<p>BAROQUE CONCERT- \u201cHANDEL AT HOME\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The celebrated Icelandic baroque group Nordic affect with Ian Wilson flutist from London, Tuomu Suni violinist from Finland and three Icelandic singers.<\/p>\n<p>A program showing a more subtle side of the composer G.F. Handel, as opposed to the magnificence of the oratorio Solomon.<\/p>\n<h3>Wednesday August 19th\u00a0 12\u201312.30 noon<\/h3>\n<p>LUNCHTIME CONCERT \u2013 HEAR HEAVEN\u2019S MAKER<br \/>\nSchola Cantorum chamber choir of Hallgrimskirkja sings old and new Icelandic choir music with a folksong flavour. Conductor: Hordur Askelsson.<\/p>\n<h3>Thursday August 20th 8 &amp; 10 pm<\/h3>\n<p>DOUBLE CONCERT WITH OLIVIER LATRY ORGANIST OF NOTRE DAME, PARIS<br \/>\n8 pm The world famous concert organist, Olivier Latry, organist at Notre Dame in Paris,<br \/>\nplays a solo recital.<\/p>\n<p>Le Sacr\u00e9 des Printemps<br \/>\n10 pm Olivier Latry plays a four-handed version of Stravinsky\u2019s Le Sacr\u00e9 des Printemps along with his wife Shin-Young Lee.<\/p>\n<h3>Friday August 21st\u00a0 5pm &amp; 8 pm<\/h3>\n<p>KING\u2019S MEN CAMBRIDGE<br \/>\n5 pm Evensong with King\u2019s Men.<\/p>\n<p>8 pm Concert with King\u2019s Men.<br \/>\nThe King\u2019s Men sing a varied program, conducted by Stephen Cleobury, renowned conductor of King\u2019s College Choir, Cambridge.<\/p>\n<h3>Saturday August 22nd 3\u22129 pm<\/h3>\n<p>REYKJAV\u00cdK CULTURAL NIGHT &#8211; FEAST OF HYMNS<br \/>\nVarious Icelandic and foreign choirs and soloists, electronic artists and more, including King\u2019s Men Cambridge, Schola cantorum and the Hallgrimskirkja Motet Choir.<br \/>\nAmongst other a premiere of 5 new psalms by 10 Icelandic women composers and poets as part of the 100 years celebrations of Icelandic women voting rights this year.<\/p>\n<h3>Sunday August 23rd 11 am and 17 pm<\/h3>\n<p>HIGH MASS<br \/>\n11 am The bishop of Iceland Agnes M.
