Shin-Young Lee<\/p><\/div>\n

Born in Seoul, Korea, SHIN-YOUNG LEE began her musical studies on the piano at the age of four, and on the organ at the age of seventeen. She received a Bachelor of Music degree from Yonsei University in Seoul, under the direction of Dr. Tong-Soon Kwak. In France, Lee continued her studies at the Schola Cantorum of Paris with Jean-Paul Imbert. She was awarded the first \u201cPrix de Virtuosit\u00e9\u201d in 2002, and the first \u201cDipl\u00f4me de concert \u00e0 l\u2019unanimit\u00e9 avec f\u00e9licitations du jury\u201d in 2003.<\/p>\n

In September of 2003, Lee entered the organ class at the Paris Conservatoire National Sup\u00e9rieur de Musique (CNSMDP) and received the Dipl\u00f4me de Formation Sup\u00e9rieure in 2007 with Michel Bouvard and Olivier Latry. She then attended the post-graduate class (\u201ccycle de perfectionnement\u201d) until June 2009. While studying organ at the Conservatoire de Paris, she also attended classes in analysis, keyboard harmony, harmony and fugue, and basso continuo with Thierry Maeder and Pierre Caez; harpsichord with Fran\u00e7oise Marmin; and improvisation with Thierry Escaich, Jean-Fran\u00e7ois Zygel, and Philippe Lefebvre.<\/p>\n

Lee won first prize at the Organ Competition of St. Fran\u00e7ois de Sales of Lyon (2007) and she was laureate of the 2nd International Jordan International Organ Competition in Columbus, Georgia (2009). Lee has presented solo recitals throughout France (including international organ festivals of the Cathedral in Laon, St. Eustache in Paris, Cathedral of Sens, Notre-Dame de Paris, La Madeleine, Versailles, Poitiers, and Bordeaux) as well as in Europe and in the U.S. She was professor of organ at the academy of Talence (France) in 2008 and 2009.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
