In 1996 he began specialising in the baroque violin, studying with Kreeta-Maria Kentala. Between 1999 and 2005 he furthered his studies with Enrico Gatti at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague. Tuomo graduated with a Bachelor\u2019s degree in 2003, finished his Master\u2019s in 2005 and is now based in London.<\/p>\n<p>With ensemble Opera Quarta, Tuomo was a winner of the Van Wassenaer Concours 2002 and Premio Bonporti 2002. Opera Quarta\u2019s CD of Leclair trio sonatas, released by ORF in 2007, was awarded the prestigious Diapason d\u2019or.<\/p>\n<p>Tuomo plays and records regularly with many ensembles around the world, including Capriccio Stravagante, Ricercar Consort, Ensemble Masques, The English Concert, The Early Opera Company, The Gabrieli Consort &amp; Players, The European Union Baroque Orchestra, Bach Collegium Japan and Helsinki Baroque Orchestra.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tuomo Suni began to play the violin at the age of four.
