His music is a collision of the technological and the organic electronic worlds. Having played drums from an early age, Halld\u00f3r started writing his own music with his electro-pop band Sykur which has been active for 11 years, releasing two critically acclaimed albums and traveled the world.<\/p>\n<p>It was when Halld\u00f3r began to studying computer science that he started combining music creation and and programming. Since then he has used his newly acquired skills to build a drum machine, robotic instruments including a self-playing harp and a few drum robots that can be controlled by a computer. Halld\u00f3r is in an ongoing collaboration with Icelandic composer \u00d3lafur Arnalds and worked on his latest release, creating a generative program for two self playing pianos that \u00d3lafur uses on the album, and on stage on his live tour.<\/p>\n<p>Halld\u00f3r worked on building custom audio software for Bj\u00f6rk for her 2019 &#8220;Cornucopia&#8221; tour. Halld\u00f3r\u2019s first album &#8220;Poco Apollo&#8221; is to be released late 2019.
