In short the audience was absolutely captivated by Mr. Latry\u00b4s inspired performance.<\/p>\n<p>In the former concert Latry played pieces by Grigny, Paulet, Mobberley and Durufle. The last piece on his repertoire was an improvisation on two old Icelandic hymns, never seen by Latry before. The result was no less than astonishing.<\/p>\n<p>Latry used th<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-medium wp-image-3416 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/kirkjulistahatid.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/9632-263x300.jpg\" alt=\"9632\" width=\"263\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/kirkjulistahatid.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/9632-263x300.jpg 263w, https:\/\/kirkjulistahatid.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/9632-128x146.jpg 128w, https:\/\/kirkjulistahatid.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/9632-44x50.jpg 44w, https:\/\/kirkjulistahatid.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/9632-576x658.jpg 576w, https:\/\/kirkjulistahatid.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/9632-66x75.jpg 66w, https:\/\/kirkjulistahatid.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/08\/9632.jpg 875w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width:767px) 263px, 263px\" \/>e voices of the Klais-organ remarkably well and some of the guests even commented on having heard sounds they never had heard before from this magnificent instrument.<\/p>\n<p>In the latter concert Latry was joined by his wife Shin-Young Lee, playing a four-handed version of Stravinskys Rite of Spring. Here the colourful use of the instrument was especially pleasing \u2013 the organ truly sounded just as rich as a whole symphonic orchestra.
