The forum, consisting of three short lectures in Icelandic, takes place in connection to the performance of Handel’s oratorio Solomon at the Festival of Sacred Arts 2015. Who was King Solomon? What was this famous king’s childhood in Israel like? How did he influence his society and the worship of his people? What is the nature of Hebrew poetry and wisdom?

Leading the forum are the two parish priests of Hallgrimskirkja: Sr. Irma Sjofn Oskarsdottir and dr. Sigurdur Arni Thordarson.
