Kirkjulistahátíð 2013
Kór og kammersveit Soffíukirkjunnar voru stofnuð árið 1979 af tónlistarstjóranum Arne Johansson. Þau koma reglulega fram í guðsþjónustum sem og á tónleikum í Soffíukirkjunni í Stokkhólmi, þar sem þau hafa flutt mikinn fjölda trúarlegra tónverka, s.s. passíur, h-moll messu og Jólaóratóríu Bachs, Þýska sálumessu Brahms og sálumessur Mozarts, Verdis, Faurés og Duruflés. Kórinn flytur einnig kórtónlist án undirleiks og kammersveitin heldur reglulega sjálfstæða tónleika. Kórinn og kammersveitin hafa ferðast víða um Evrópu og árið 2003 vann kórinn til verðlauna á Kirkjutónlistarhátíðinni í Hajnowka í Póllandi.
Arne Johansson
Arne Johansson er fæddur í sunnanverðri Svíþjóð og lærði við Konunglega tónlistarháskólann í Stokkhólmi 1972-77. Kennarar hans voru Gotthard Arnér á orgel, Gunnar Hallhagen á píanó og Eric Ericson í kórstjórn. Arne hóf störf við Soffíukirkjuna í
Stokkhólmi árið 1979 og stofnaði þá kór og kammersveit
kirkjunnar. Hann er einnig virkur orgelleikari jafnt við guðsþjónustur og á tónleikum.
Sofia church choir and chamber orchestra were both founded in 1979 and have since then worked under conduction of music director Arne Johansson. They performe regurlarly in Sofia church in Stockholm, in services as well as in concerts( about 10 every year) They have performed most of the sacral repertoar, such as Bach High Mass and Passion of S:t John and S:t Matthew as well as Christmas Oratorio, Brahms A German Requiem, Mozart Requiem, Fauré Requiem, Duruflé Requiem, Verdi Requiem, Puccini Messa de Gloria and so on. The orchestra is regurlarly giving orchestral concerts, playing for instance String Serenades by Tjajkovskij, Dvorak, Wirén. The choir also gives separate concerts with music for choir a cappella, with works from different Swedish composers, Rachmaninov and other orthodox composers, Britten, Martin etc.
The choir and the orchestra have travelled all over Europe giving concerts in Rome, Paris, Moscow, Riga, S:t Petersburg, Prague, Lisboa, Berlin, Budapest, Spain, Warszawa, New York, Mallorca, Vilnius, Cyprus, Ukraina. In 2003 the choir won a price at Hajnowka festival of Orthodox Sacred Music in Poland.
Arne Johansson
Born in the south of Sweden, he was activ as a choirsinger and studied piano and organ playing. 1972-1977 he studied at the Royal University College of Music in Stockholm, organ for professor Gotthard Arnér, piano for professor Gunnar Hallhagen and choir conducting for professor Eric Ericson. He was graduated from the school as a churc musician in 1977. In 1979 he started to work in the Sofia church in Stockholm. That very year he founded Sofia church choir and Sofia chamber orchestra. He is also active as an organ player, in services as well as giving concerts.
